Privacy policy
The short version: your MP3 never leaves your device, the site has no accounts and no analytics scripts of its own, and the only third party that may set cookies is Google, if and when adverts are shown.
Your files
The editor reads and writes tags with JavaScript running in your browser. The file is never uploaded, copied to a server, or seen by me. There is no server-side code on this site. If you disconnect from the internet after the page loads, the editor keeps working, which is the simplest proof of this.
What the site stores in your browser
Two small settings, kept in your browser's local storage rather than as cookies: the interface language you picked, and whether you've dismissed the notice at the bottom of the page. Both stay on your device. You can clear them from your browser's settings at any time and the site will simply ask again.
What I can see
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare keeps standard request logs (IP address, browser type, page requested, time) for security and to keep the service running, and shows me aggregate counts: how many visits a page got, from which countries, roughly. I can't identify you from that and don't try. I don't run Google Analytics or any similar script on this site. Cloudflare's own privacy policy is at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
Advertising
To keep the site free, it may show adverts served by Google AdSense. When adverts are shown, Google and its certified partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to serve and measure them, and may use the fact that you visited this site to show you more relevant adverts elsewhere. That is Google's processing, described in Google's advertising policies. You can turn off personalised advertising at Google Ad Settings, and opt out of many other networks at aboutads.info.
Where the law requires it, for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, you'll be asked for consent before any advertising cookies are set, and you can change your answer later from the link that will appear in the footer. If no adverts are running, no advertising cookies are set.
If you write to the address on the contact page, I keep the email for as long as it's useful for answering you or fixing the problem you reported, then delete it. I don't add addresses to any list.
Children
The site is for a general audience and isn't aimed at children under 13. I don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, children included.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it and the changelog gets a line. The main thing that would change it is adverts going live, at which point the advertising section above applies in full.
