These are short because the site is simple. Using the editor or reading the guides means you're fine with what's below.

The editor

The editor is free to use for any lawful purpose, personal or commercial. It runs in your browser and never uploads your file; you keep full responsibility for the files you edit and for having the right to modify them. It writes a new copy of the file and leaves the original alone, but keep your own backups anyway. Software has bugs and browsers have quirks.

No warranty

The site is provided as it is, with no guarantee that it will work for a particular file, player or device, or that it will always be available. To the extent the law allows, I'm not liable for any loss arising from its use. If something breaks, tell me and I'll do my best to fix it.

Don't abuse it

Don't try to disrupt the site, scrape it at a rate that looks like an attack, or use it to break the law. That's all.

The guides and other text

The writing on this site is mine and is copyright 2026 editmp3tags.com. Link to it freely, quote short passages with a link back, and use the facts in it however you like. Please don't republish whole pages elsewhere.

Third-party code and fonts

The editor uses two open-source libraries, jsmediatags and browser-id3-writer, under their own licences, and the Newsreader and Inter typefaces under the SIL Open Font License. Their terms apply to them.

Advertising

The site may show adverts served by Google. Adverts are Google's content and the advertisers' responsibility, not mine. How that affects your privacy is on the privacy page.

Changes

If these terms change, the date at the top will change. Continued use after that means you accept the new version.
